How We Design Levels for Puzzle Games

Designing a puzzle game is more complex than it looks. Each level must balance difficulty, fun, and logic.

We start by sketching ideas and testing them on paper. Then, we adjust based on player feedback. A level that’s too easy becomes boring, while one that’s too hard causes frustration.

We also use psychology—gradually increasing difficulty keeps players motivated without overwhelming them. Rewards, hints, and visual feedback are carefully placed to encourage progress.

Behind every “simple” puzzle you see in our games are hours of testing and fine-tuning. That’s why puzzle design is both an art and a science.
